Structured, specialist therapy for OCD, anxiety, and trauma.

Most people who reach out have already tried therapy that didn’t match their diagnosis. This practice is built around what the evidence supports — ERP, EMDR, HRT, and ACT — via telehealth across Texas, Washington, New Hampshire, and Florida.

ABOUT FELIX MURAD, LPC-S

The Work Is Rigorous. The Approach Is Human.

Most therapists who say they treat OCD have read about it. Felix has done the work himself — including his own ERP. With 10+ years of clinical experience, M.Ed., LPC-S, LMHC, CMHC, and NCC credentials, and a practice capped at 12 clients, this is specialist-level care delivered with the rigor it demands. The approach is humanistic at its core and evidence-based in its methods: ERP, EMDR, ACT, and HRT — not one-size-fits-all talk therapy.

HOW IT WORKS

Three Steps. No Guesswork.

01

Request Intake

Complete the intake request form. Felix reviews it personally before responding — so the first conversation is already informed by your presenting concerns.

02

Clinical Intake Session

A focused session to assess your history, presenting concerns, and treatment goals. This determines which evidence-based approach is matched to your case.

03

The Work

Structured, evidence-based sessions using ERP, EMDR, ACT, or HRT — matched to your diagnosis. Progress tracked, approach adjusted as treatment unfolds.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. This is a private-pay practice. Private pay means no third-party access to your records and no arbitrary session limits. Many clients receive partial reimbursement through out-of-network (OON) benefits — I provide a superbill on request. You can check your OON benefits and estimate expected out-of-pocket costs before reaching out using Thrizer’s benefits checker.

It depends on the presenting concern. OCD treatment with ERP typically runs 16–20 sessions for moderate cases. Trauma work with EMDR varies more. I give an honest estimate after intake — not a vague answer designed to keep you in therapy indefinitely.

Yes — all sessions are telehealth. This allows me to serve clients across Texas, Washington, New Hampshire, and Florida. Telehealth for ERP and EMDR has strong research support and equal effectiveness to in-person for most presentations.

Most people who reach out have. Generic CBT or supportive counseling is not the same as evidence-based ERP, EMDR, or HRT applied correctly by a specialist. The right treatment matters as much as treatment itself.

That’s the most common thing people say before starting ERP. Fear of the content is normal — it doesn’t mean you aren’t ready. ERP doesn’t require you to stop being afraid of the thought. It requires you to change what you do with it. That’s exactly what the work is designed for.

Felix is licensed in Texas, Washington, New Hampshire, and Florida. All sessions are telehealth — so you can work with him from anywhere within those states.

No. Intrusive thoughts — including violent, sexual, or otherwise disturbing content — are not reportable and are not evidence of intent or danger. They are a symptom, not a character flaw. Confidentiality applies. Mandated reporting applies to actual abuse or imminent, specific risk of harm — not to the content of OCD obsessions.

Ready to Find Out If This Is the Right Fit?

I keep the caseload intentionally small — capped at 12 clients. If you’ve been thinking about reaching out, this is a good time. The consult call is free, 15 minutes, and there’s no obligation.
